Andrea Noeske-Porada (Germany)

Andrea Noeske-Porada is a fibre artist, sculptor and founder of the Art-Education-Centre Kunst in Souterrain in Wiesbaden Germany. Her interest in abstract, sculptural and form-based art led her to develop Felt Foldings; techniques for the creation of striking sculptural forms in handmade felt. In her current work, structural aspects and process are paramount although the changeability and the liveliness of the finished object are likewise
important.

Andrea completed a 2-year specialist course at the renowned German Felt-school Oberrot. Her current tertiary studies in Art History and Fine Art further inform her artistic explorations.

Andrea’s artwork is exhibited and published internationally, and she has taught widely, including in Argentina, USA, and throughout Europe.
