Aimee Lee (USA)

Aimee Lee is an artist, papermaker, writer, and the leading hanji researcher and practitioner in the USA (BA, Oberlin College; MFA, Columbia College Chicago). Her Fulbright research in Korea led to her award-winning book, Hanji Unfurled, and the first US hanji studio at Morgan Conservatory.

Aimeeā€™s artwork is exhibited internationally and collected in numerous libraries that include Brooklyn Museum of Art, MOMA, and Yale University. She has taught and lectured at the American Museum of Natural History, Asian Art Museum, Cleveland Museum of Art, Denver Art Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, numerous Art & Design colleges and renowned craft schools such as Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Peters Valley School of Craft, and Penland, USA.
